Irish Hiking Scarf

Irish Hiking Scarf
Originally uploaded by StoneAmazon.

I knit this for my dad's birthday/Father's day gift. I also did a Irish Hiking Hat to match (no pic)

It took longer than expected. The hat and scarf together took 4 balls of Patons Shetland Chunky Tweeds in Dark Forest.
Pattern: Irish Hiking Scarf from Hello Yarn
Needles : 9 Addi Turbos

Very soft and a nice manly knit.

Lily's sweater

The same sweater, knit in the smallest size for my college roommate's baby. Much better. The yarn was much nicer and I did intarsia instead of duplicate stitching. I also added a cable up the sleeve to break up the stockinette.

Pattern: Tattoo Sweater - Stitch n Bitch Nation
Yarn: Baby Ull Dalegarn (don't have the colorway - green)

This one could have used a closure as well, but just at the top.

Jadyn's sweater

This is the first sweater I knit, for my niece Jadyn. The yarn was very fuzzy and there were long stretches of boring stockinette.

Pattern: Tattoo Sweater - Stitch n Bitch Nation
Yarn: Black fuzzy (?) fingering weight, and Lilac smooth (?)

I should have put some buttons.

Catching up

Fetching - FO

Well, I've been absent from my own blog. I would like to build up to posting regularly, but in the mean time, it's going to need to be more of a showcase for finished objects. So here's the first.

Like everyone else, I made a pair of Fetching mitts.
Yarn: Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Pumpkin (1 skein)
Pattern: Fetching (Knitty.com)
Finished: sometime in the fall 06
